Sometimes it may be necessary to login to SpiderOak Share using a new account or remove account information about Share from a device. Follow the instructions below to remove Share account information from a device:
Quit Share. Don't just minimize the application, shut it down completely. Open a search field in Windows. If you are using Windows 7 or earlier, you can find this on your start menu. If you are using Windows 8 or later, type directly into the start screen, which serves as a search field. Type
%LOCALAPPDATA% (with the percent signs) and press enter. Searching for %LOCALAPPDATA% will open a file explorer window called "Application Data" with other folders inside. There will be a folder here named "share" or "share-2"; rename or delete it.
Quit SShare One. Don't just minimize the application, shut it down completely. Open a Finder window, then click on the Go menu at the top of the screen. While the Go menu is showing, hold down the ALT (or OPTION) key. When ALT is held down the Library folder will become visible. Click on Library, then click into the Application Support folder. There will be a folder here named "share" or "share-2"; rename or delete it.
Quit SpiderOak One. Don't just minimize the application, shut it down completely. Rename or delete the ~/.config/share directory. ~/.config is a hidden directory, so if you are using a graphical file manager you will first need to set it to display hidden files.
Whether it is best to rename or delete this folder depends upon your objective. If you want to remove all trace of Share from your computer and do not plan to use it again, delete the folder. Otherwise, it is more prudent to rename it. If renaming it resolves your issue, you may delete the old folder that you renamed.
