Recently it has come to our attention that NordVPN and ONE are no longer working well together. We were unable to get assistance through NordVPN unfortunately, but were able to come up with a process that allows them to work together successfully.
For Windows
- Nord must be started first and a connection must be established.
- Start One
- Nord will periodically decide that it can find a better connection for you
- At this time Nord will disconnect, scan channels and then reconnect.
- This will disconnect ONE
- Once Nord has re-established a connection SpiderOak will take between 30 seconds and 3 minutes but will ultimately reconnect and resume backing up.
- The cycling of connections seems to lessen or stop entirely after about 8 PM Central.
- Often these cycles may look stalled, but our testing has shown that simply waiting will allow ONE to begin working correctly on its own.
For Mac
- ONE must be started first and backups must be moving.
- Start Nord and allow it to establish a connection.
