Beginning with version 6.0, the full paths and executable names of SpiderOak ONE and Groups have changed. Because of these changes, we recommend that when you update version 5 to the current version of SpiderOak One or Groups you do so in the following manner:
-
Uninstall the version you are now running, using your operating system's usual means.
-
On Windows, reboot. On Mac and Linux, log out of your computer's user account, then log back in.
-
Install the new version, using your operating system's usual means.
To reiterate, the above method is only needed the one time that you update SpiderOak One or Groups 5.2 or earlier to our current version. Subsequent updates can be done normally by simply downloading and running the installer in the usual manner.
