Unlike cloud storage services, SpiderOak ONE and Groups provide a backup solution for the files on your computer. You would keep a local copy of them all on your computer, and SpiderOak ONE and Groups will automatically maintain backups of them online. We are not a hard drive in the cloud where you would offload your files and no longer store them locally.
Speed is an additional consideration. With a cloud storage service, speed is important because it supplements or replaces your local hard drive. With a backup service, data integrity and security are more important than speed. For that reason our or any online backup service would not be a good substitute for a cloud storage service, nor vice versa.
